PAINTED FLOORS BY CHRIS PEARSON
For the cost and time involved, there is no more efficient way to impact a room than to pattern the floor with paint. Adding an all over grid affects everything in the space and can make it feel grander, more intimate, singular and chic.
I have painted approximately 200 floors since my first in 1988 and my work has been shown in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Veranda, Town & Country, House & Garden, New York Magazine, and Greenwich Magazine.
Thanks to my son Charley for his help and inspiration, and to Miles Redd for allowing me to contribute to so many of his amazing rooms. Some of the work in the Walls and Ceilings section was painted in collaboration with Patrica Dwyer.
